Office Locations
The Juvenile Office serves youth and families of both Andrew and Buchanan counties. The main office is located at the Buchanan County Courthouse. A deputy juvenile officer is assigned to Andrew County and maintains part-time office hours at the office located in the Andrew County Courthouse. Residential services are located at 4702 Green Acres Road in St. Joseph. Residential services include the Juvenile Detention Center and the Buchanan County Academy.
Purpose
The purpose of the Juvenile Office, as defined in chapter 211 of the revised statues of Missouri,
is to facilitate the care, protection and discipline of children who come within the jurisdiction of the juvenile court.
